Sunny Side
A new sun room faces the swimming pool to the south and creates a great sitting area at any time of year. A large section of the rear wall of the house was removed to connect the sun room to an existing informal eating area in an effort to admit a generous amount of daylight deeper into the house. An interior bearing wall was removed and replaced with a half-wall and columns to connect the large existing family room to the existing kitchen and the new sun room. Beautiful stone-tiled walls set of new fireplaces in the sun room and the living room. A mundane fireplace was removed from the existing living room and a new fireplace was placed on a different wall with a two story stone tile surround and an oak-clad shelf that integrates with other elements in the house.
