smartDESIGN designed a new pool house complete with an outdoor kitchen, bar, and living room with a large screen television and a fireplace. There is a bathroom with changing area conveniently and discreetly located on the rear side of the pool house. The design coordinates with the forms and window pattern of the existing house and was sized and sited using computer solar studies. The building is built using a painted timber frame with exposed structure and a winged roof form that opens to the pool, the house and a new cus­tom-designed deck area, and the yard beyond.
